‘Billy Bunter’ was the fictional, corpulent, short- sighted & mischievous school boy created by Charles Hamilton (pen name, Frank Richards).
Bunter first appeared in ‘The Magnet’ magazine in 1908, and quickly became the principal character in Richard's stories set in Greyfriars, the fictional public school. Bunter has appeared in film, television, as well as books, and remains a popular (if somewhat obnoxious) ‘anti-hero’!
