About Jim’s Books & Ephemera

Established by Irish-Italian collector James Paul Smyth in 2017, Jim's Books & Ephemera specialises in antique, rare, and collectable books.

Our collection spans a wide range of genres, eras, and languages – though the majority are over one hundred years old and written in the English language. We also sell a variety of vintage art, historic newspapers and periodicals, and other printed ephemera.

Located in the notable antiques hub of Battlesbridge, Essex, our bricks and mortar shop is the only specialist bookshop in the area.
