Assorted Rudyard Kipling Books

£0.00

Rudyard Kipling (1865- 1936), is regarded as one of the foremost writers of his generation. Born in India, Kipling's poetry & verse, was informed by his childhood experience of growing up in British India, in the era of colonialism. And of growing up as an ‘Anglo- Indian’. India dominates much of his writing.

He is perhaps best remembered for his character Mowgli & the ‘Jungle Book’, but Kipling was prolific, and wrote much more besides. Like many of his contemporaries, Kipling's attitudes & opinions were influenced by events taking place around him. He was greatly affected by the death of his only son John in the First World War, and his poem ‘My Boy Jack’, lamenting the loss of his son, is perhaps the best example.

Lots of Kipling to choose from. Hardbacks, paperbacks & pamphlets.
