Aleister Crowley- Writings
Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), was an occultist, ceremonial magician, skilled chess player, mountaineer, self-styled religious prophet, drug user, Cambridge University student and sexually promiscuous hedonist!
Crowley's views and outlook were unconventional, and during his lifetime, was denounced as the ‘wickedest man in the world’. He sometimes referred to himself as ‘Mega Therion’ (Great Beast).
In death, his libertine views and beliefs were popular in the 1960s counter- culture, and his influence in popular culture endures.
A polarising figure, his books continue to be re-published and his work and writings studied by academics.
Several important books by Crowley to browse from, including several first editions- ‘Magick’ & ‘Moonchild’ (both 1929), ‘777’ & ‘Diary Of A Drug Fiend’.
Prices vary.
